UAI Qualifies and Competes for a 250-Unit Affordable Housing Complex on behalf of CAMBA Housing Ventures: Camba Gardens Phase IIWednesday, February 13th, 2013
UAI recently qualified to compete in the design of a multifamily residential complex, re-imagining the site of a psychiatric facility on the Kings County Hospital campus in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Working together with Liz Farrell, landscape architect, UAI envisioned CAMBA Gardens Phase II as 250 residential units and community spaces around a central open garden space; the focal point for the residences, with gently rolling topography and circulation pathways throughout.
Mindful of the negative connotations of the existing building, UAI’s envisioned space seeks to “Release the Spirits”; bringing new life to the site.
